Jeff has 4 children (Grant 29, Alyssa 27, Sophie 10 & Eloise 8). He lives at Stuart Park and Sophie & Eloise attend Parap Primary.
Jeff is presently a senior lawyer (associate) with Ward Keller. He has formerly worked for Clayton Utz (Darwin), Colin Biggers & Paisley (Sydney) and as a barrister at Edmund Barton Chambers in Sydney. His legal practice consists generally of building and construction law, general commercial litigation, insolvency and bankruptcy matters, workers compensation and industrial relations matters.
Jeff is a councillor and treasurer of the Law Society NT and a member of the National Human Rights Committee of the Law Council of Australia.
Jeff left school at 16 and, prior to becoming a lawyer, worked as an electrician and then a professional fire fighter.
While working as a fire fighter, Jeff went back to study and completed an arts degree (history and government & public administration) at Sydney University, then a law degree at the University of Technology, Sydney.
In May 2012, Jeff and his family moved to Darwin as a sea-change and to spend more time with two young daughters.
The move has worked well, the girls are thriving and the family has settled comfortably into the easy, relaxed way of life in the Top End.
