Nicole lives in the Wanguri electorate with her husband Scott and son Aiden.
She has been the Member for Wanguri since February 2013 when she won the seat in a by-election, following the retirement of the previous member and former Chief Minister Paul Henderson.
As a member of the Territory Labor Opposition, Nicole is the Shadow Minister for Education, Essential Services, Environment and Heritage, Parks and Wildlife, Climate Change and Arts and Museums.
Nicole is passionate about the Wanguri electorate and the Northern Territory, and entered politics because she has a desire to make a positive difference in the community.
She is especially interested in the areas of education and schools, health, housing, the environment, community safety, sport and ensuring the Territory continues to have the best lifestyle in the nation.
Nicole is a proud local and grew up in the electorate. She attended local schools including Holy Spirit School, Dripstone Middle School and Casuarina Senior College before attending Curtin University and studying Journalism and Public Relations.
Prior to entering Parliament, Nicole had worked as an adviser to several Ministers in the previous Labor Government. She had also worked for PowerWater and government departments in a range of Communications and Human Resource roles in the Territory Public Service and in the private sector in Perth.
Outside of work and family life, Nicole loves netball and still plays and coaches for the Waratah Netball Club. She is a keen runner and you will see her jogging around the electorate when she gets time. Nicole supports Fremantle in the AFL and Waratahs in the NTFL.
