Ngaree Ah Kit

Ngaree Ah Kit is a 34-year-old Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander woman who was born and bred in the Territory.  She decided to run for the seat of Karama so she could contribute as part of a team that is looking to deliver quality outcomes for all Territorians.

Over the past 10 years Ngaree has contributed to achieving the best outcome for herself, her family, her friends and her community.  She has also helped others to succeed and encouraged new people to get involved with processes and initiatives that could have an impact on them.

Ngaree has always been interested in politics, and was fortunate enough to have an insiders view whilst watching her Dad, JAK in opposition and then Government, as the Member for Arnhem from 1995-2005.

Ngaree is a committed, hard working and passionate community advocate who is a team player.  She also continues to look for new ways in which improvements can be made to achieve more effective outcomes.

Ngaree believes that Territorians deserve better than what they are currently getting and would love the opportunity to help the ALP deliver this.
